Travel Discount Codes (Insurance + Luggage + Flights)

There is nothing like the satisfaction of cheap flights but it is important to understand the full picture before you buy.

Be very certain of your date of travel as if you change it then you could find yourself facing some hefty fees. Not only will you have to pay a penalty for changing the date but you will also need to pay the difference between your original ticket and the one you want now.

Cheap flights are no frills so you may find that a meal and drink are missing from the in-flight service and that you have to print off your own boarding pass but if you can live with that then there are bargains to be had.

Finding a good car rental for your holiday can be tricky and seasoned holidaymakers have some established tips and tricks to ensure they don’t pay over the odds.

Don’t restrict yourself to rental companies within the airport as these are often some of the most expensive. Pick a rental firm just a short bus or taxi ride away, they are usually cheaper. Rental cars must be returned with a full tank of fuel hence why there are often petrol stations at airports and charging premium rates. Find a local fuel station and make sure you fill up there on the last day of your holiday.

One of the best ways to save money is to book your hire car in advance.

The main premise to remember is that you should never assume that hotel prices are fixed. Use the price on the hotel’s website as a benchmark for the going rate but this is not likely to be the rate you will end up paying.

Then check out the hotel on the main price comparison websites. When you have found the best price, call the hotel directly to see if they will beat it. Sometimes a hotel will offer direct book customers a promotion of three for two-nights special deals that are not always picked up by price comparison websites.

Always check the hotel on authentic review sites regardless of how much you are paying for the room.
